"I have learned over the years that in order to truly enjoy my craft, I have to paint what is most important to me. My paintings speak to me by reminding me where I have been or of a favorite spot to which I hope to return. It is my hope that they will speak to the viewer in the same way, triggering a memory of a similar experience or place in time."
